Using the dynamic Qualitative Comparative Analysis method, this study selects 31 A-share listed companies in the tex- tile industry from 2018 to 2022 to analyze the necessary conditions and effective paths influencing the digital transformation of textile enterprises. The findings reveal that no single factor at the technological, organizational, or environmental level can serve as a necessary condition for textile enterprises to achieve a high level of digital transformation; instead, synergy among these factors is required. In the sufficiency analysis, four configurational driving the digital transformation of textile enterprises are identified, which can be categorized into two modes: externally-driven regulatory subsidy mode and internally-driven R&D innovation mode. Larger textile enterprises are more suited to the internally-driven R&D innovation mode, leveraging their own R&D and innovation capabilities to achieve digital transformation. Smaller textile enterprises, on the other hand, are more suited to the externally-driven regulatory subsidy mode, utilizing government support and environmental regulations to drive the process of digital transformation.

Cotton is an important agricultural and economic crop in the Hami region. With global warming, the emergence of extreme weather has brought uncertainty to the quality of cotton. By analyzing meteorological data and cotton quality parameters in the Hami region from 2014 to 2023, the Pearson correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the correlation between cotton quality and meteorological conditions. The results showed that cotton bud stage requires sufficient heat to ensure its own growth. Excessive sunshine hours in the Hami region have a negative impact on cotton quality. The number of days in the frost free period is positively correlated with cotton quality. The effective accumulated temperature is positively correlated with the average length, micronaire value A+B, fracture ratio intensity, and cotton color level. The number of days at or above 35 ℃ is positively correlated with the average length and fracture ratio intensity, and negatively correlated with length uniformity and cotton color level.

With the impact of global climate change and agricultural development, forecasting and analyzing cotton yields is crucial for agricultural planning and resource allocation. In order to provide a more accurate prediction of national cotton yield, a multi-objective locust optimal combination forecasting is proposed. Three single models, ARIMA time series model, Least Squares Support Vector Machine LSSVM model, and Recurrent Neural Network RNN model, are firstly applied to forecast the national cotton production data from 2009 to 2023. Then, a set of optimal solutions were obtained through the multi-objective locust iterative optimization process, and the single model prediction results were compared with the prediction results of the combined prediction method. It is verified through examples that the combined prediction method using multi-objective locust optimisation predicts results with smaller error and higher fitting degree, which proves that the model has good value in practical application and better reflects the actual changes of cotton production. Finally, using this method to forecast the national cotton production in 2024-2026 can provide a reference for the development of the cotton industry.

Against the backdrop of studying the competitiveness of Jiangsu province’s textile and apparel companies, this study is based on the financial data of 12 Jiangsu province-listed textile companies in 2023. It employs the DEA-Tobit two-step method to analyze five indicators. Through DEA-BCC model analysis of the data from the 12 listed textile companies, it was found that the majority of enterprises’ comprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency, and scale efficiency were close to 1, indicating relatively efficient production processes and scale operations. However, a few enterprises had lower comprehensive efficiency, with lower technical and scale efficiencies. Tobit regression analysis showed that fixed asset net value, number of employees, and R&D expenditure significantly influenced enterprise comprehensive efficiency. It is recommended that companies strengthen production process optimization, rational resource allocation, and increase R&D investment to enhance comprehensive efficiency and achieve sustainable development.
