This paper comprehensively interprets GB 30585—2024 "Safety Technical Code for Children’s Shoes" and GB 30585—2014 "Technical Spec- ification for Children’s Shoes Safety" from the aspects of application scope, technical requirements and test methods, and summarizes the technical char- acteristics of the new standard. Combined with the actual situation, the im- plementation of the new standard is proposed, which is conducive to relevant enterprises and testing institutions to have a clearer understanding and under- standing of the revised content of the new standard, so as to improve the quality of children's shoes products and ensure the healthy growth of children.

This paper compares the scope of application, normative reference documents, term definition, requirements, internal quality, appearance quality, logo and other aspects of QB/T 1193—2012 and QB/T 1193—2023, analyzes the differences between the old and new versions, for the supervision department, testing institutions, enterprise development, production, quality control, sales and other related personnel and consumers.

This article compares and analyzes the changes and differences between the 2024 and 2011 editions of GB/T 26382 "Worsted fabric" in terms of scope of application, normative references, specifications, internal quality, appearance quality requirements, test methods, etc. The aim is to enable production enterprises and quality inspectors to better understand and implement the new standards.

By means of literature analysis and experimental testing, this paper systematically compared the similarities and differ- ences of the standard systems of surgical clothing and surgical single products in the United States, the European Union and China, focusing on the analysis of microbial penetration resistance, particle release, biological load, liquid penetration resistance, bursting strength, breaking strength and other indicators and differences in test methods. Based on the big data, the unqualified situation of surgical clothing products was analyzed, and suggestions were put forward to improve the standard and registration evaluation sys- tem of surgical clothing in China.

This article compares and analyzes this standard with GB/T 12705.2—2009 "Textile- Methods of testing the down-proof properties of fabrics-Part 2:Tumble test", interprets the main differences between the new and old standards, and provides reference for standard users.

Interpretation of the main contents of GB 8965.1—2020 "Protective clothing-Flame retardant protective clothing", GB 38453—2019 "Protective clothing—Protective clothing against heat" and GB/T 33536—2017 "Protective clothing-Forest fire pre- ventive clothing". Compare the main technical indicators of the three standards, including protective performance, physical and chemical performance, and technical and quality requirements for finished products, accessories, and auxiliary materials. In summa- ry, GB 8965.1—2020 has the most comprehensive assessment items and focuses more on the requirements for flame retardant per- formance. GB 38453—2019 provides the most detailed and selective assessment of thermal insulation performance. GB/T 33536— 2017 has the strictest requirements for protective performance and physical and chemical properties, with technical indicators higher than the other two standards.

Perfluorinated and polyfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAS) are widely used in the textile industry because of their excellent thermal stability and degradation resistance, such as waterproof treatment, fireproof coating and so on. However, the persistence, long-distance migration, bioaccumulation and biotoxicity of PFAS have caused long-term adverse effects on human health and environment, and have been referred to as "permanent chemicals". In recent years, the control of PFAS by many countries and in- ternational organizations around the world has become increasingly strict, and the textile industry needs to actively respond to this trend. This article reviews the updates of PFAS regulations in the European Union, the United States, China, as well as the latest re- quirements of Bluesign, AFIRM, ZDHC and other institutions, and discusses the compliance testing and response suggestions of the textile industry.

The authors researched test methods for fill power of down and feather between GB/T 10288—2016 and JIS L 1903:2022, and came to a conclusion that when testing the same sample with the two methods, the result of GB/T 10288—2016 is higher than JIS L 1903:2022.

This paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the group standard T/JYHQ 0009—2021 and compares it with the national standard GB/T 31888—2015 for school uniform products, exploring the differences between the two in terms of standard scope of application, technical requirements, testing methods, and other aspects. It also puts forward suggestions for enterprises to adopt standards. The research shows that the group standard is more flexible in adapting to industry development and market demand, while the national standard has stronger universality and authority. The differences between the two reflect the multi-level and com- plementary nature of China's standardization system, providing important references for improving the quality of school uniform products and enhancing market competitiveness.

As a major province of intangible cultural heritage, Zhejiang Province has a wealth of textile intangible cultural heritage projects. In view of the existing problems such as loss of textile intangible cultural heritage skills, lack of marketization and international communications, this paper puts forward a novel working idea, that is building a framework for textile intangible cultural heritage standard system with regional characteristics, where standardization is the key point. This paper constructs a standard system of textile intangible cultural heritage consisting three parts: techniques and products, management and inheritance, development and promotion. Techniques and products are the main display forms for the public to perceive textile intangible cultural heritage. Management and inheritance are the means to protect textile intangible heritage resources and the continuation of traditional skills. Development and promotion are the inevitable requirements for realizing the creative transformation and innovative development of textile intangible heritage. By playing the leading role of standardization, promoting the protection, inheritance and innovative development of textile intangible cultural heritage techniques, the intangible cultural heritage would radiate new vitality in the modern society.

Standardization work serves various fields of the national economy and plays an important technical support role in im- plementing national strategies such as building a strong country in quality, technology, and manufacturing. The current development status of standardization work in the cotton industry was investigated, problems and deficiencies including in standard system, key technical standards, standard management and updates in the cotton industry were identified, and corresponding work suggestions were proposed in this paper. It aims to provide a research foundation for solving the difficulties and obstacles in the reform and development of cotton quality and safety supervision, and to provide an effective path for standardized technology to support the high-quality and sustainable development of the cotton industry.

GB/T 22849—2024 “Knitted T-shirts” was released on March 15, 2024, and implemented from October 1, 2024. This article mainly analyzes and compares the new and old standards for knitted T-shirts,providing technical reference and guidance for production enterprises, testing institutions, and consumers.

With the development of international trade of silkworm fresh cocoon, the change of domestic production and processing modeand the improvement of inspection technology capability, revision of domestic standards is inevitable. It has a great significance in promoting technological progress, regulating market order, protecting farmers’ interests and ensuring industrial development. On May 19, 2003, the recommended national standard for classification of silkworm fresh cocoon (dry shell method) was issued for the first time. And on October 12, 2022 the new standard was formally issued. This paper mainly analyzes and compares the changes of the new and old standards, so that manufacturers, inspectors and other standard users can better understand, grasp and use the new standard to provide effective reference.

It mainly analyzes the main changes of the new and old standards from the aspects of normative reference documents, basic performance, durability performance, washing performance, functional performance, safety performance measurement, etc. It provides a reference for production enterprises and testing institutions to better understand and apply the new standards.

This paper compares the differences between GB/T 32614—2023 "Outdoor sportswear-Water resistant garments" and GB/T 32614—2016 "Outdoor sportswear-Water resistant garments", it compared and analyzed mainly from the normative ref- erence documents, product type, internal quality requirements, appearance quality requirements,requirements content and decision rules.The paper provides a reference for the production of water resistant garments and related testing, so that users can understand and use the new standard more accurately.

Protective gloves against mechanical hazards refer to gloves used to protect against the risk of at least one kind of me- chanical injury in wearing, cutting, tearing and puncturing. The national standard GB 24541—2022 "Hand protection-Protective gloves against mechanical risks" testing the wear resistance, cutting resistance (disc knife method, straight knife method) , tear re- sistance, puncture resistance and impact protection items of gloves, the protective performance grade of gloves was obtained. This paper explains the new standard of GB 24541—2022, grasps the requirement of the new standard to the performance of protective gloves, in order to help the laboratory to understand the new standard and standard operation.

GB/T 17592—2024 "Textiles -Determination of the banned azo colourants" was published on March 15, 2024 and will be implemented on April 1, 2025. In this article, the new and old standards for the determination of the banned azo colourants in textiles are analyzed and compared in detail, so as to deepen the understanding of the new method, and provide guidance for the rapid and correct use of the new method for the detection of the banned azo colourants in textiles.

The new standard QB/T 2673—2023 "Footwear Product Identification" has been implemented. Through comparison and analysis of the old and new standards, this paper analyzes and studies the old and new standards in detail from the aspects of the standard’s normative reference documents, term definition, marking content and marking requirements, and illustrates the standard marking with examples, which is conducive to the implementation and promotion of the new standards, and has a certain guiding role for footwear manufacturers and inspection institutions.

To enhance the familiarity of GB 1103.1—2023 "Cotton Part 1: Saw ginned upland cotton", this paper compares the differences between the new and old standards in 11 aspects, including scope of application, normative references, terminology and definitions, quality requirements, sampling, inspection methods, and inspection rules. The reasons for the modifications are explained, and some insights are proposed in this paper.

On September 7, 2023, GB/T 32614—2023 "Outdoor sportswear-Water resistant garments" (hereinafter referred to as the new standard) was issued, which will be implemented on April 1, 2024. Compared with GB/T 32614—2016 "Outdoor sportswear-Water resistant garments" (hereinafter referred to as the old standard) has changed greatly, there are 22 main technical changes, involving the scope, reference documents, technical assessment indicators, detection methods, decision rules and other content. This paper compares the new and old standards from the two aspects of the structure and content of the standard, and provides a reference for the manufacturer of water resistant garments and relevant testing institutions to further understand the new standard.

The GB/T 43722.1—2024 standard is one of the series of standards developed in China for the determination of the antimicrobial activity of leather products. This article introduces several innovative and key points of the antimicrobial activity testing methods involved in the standard. It will help enterprises and testing institutions further understand this standard and promote the development of antibacterial leather products.

This paper introduces the main revision content of GB/T 22800— 2023 Textile for Tourist Hotels standard, analyzes the differences between the new and old versions of GB/T 22800 in detail, and makes new provisions in the scope of application, normative reference documents, product classification, basic safety requirements and sampling judgment. And the internal quality requirements, appearance quality requirements of the technical indicators and detection methods have been adjusted. Through interpretation, the standard users can fully understand and master the new standard, and prepare for the effective implementation of the new standard.

It comprehensively compares the differences and reasons for modifications between the new and old for “Down and feather pillows, cushions”, and proposes countermeasures and suggestions.

This article interprets the standard GB 1103.1—2023 "Cotton— Part 1: Saw ginned upland cotton", compare and analyze with GB 1103.1—2012, Listed the modifications related to technical specification requirements. The implementation of new standards will improve the quality inspection of cotton’s intrinsic quality. More notarized and scientific evaluation of cotton quality, contribute to the high-quality development of the cotton industry.

This article analyzes the Made in Zhejiang Group Standard T/ZZB 3206—2023 "Woven stretch jeans", with reference to FZ/T 81006—2017 "Jeans wear", FZ/T 13036—2016 "Yarn-dyed elastic denim", GB/T 18885—2020 "Technical specifications of ecological textiles" as well as related international testing standards , some items are analyzed and compared in detail, so that woven stretch jeans manufacturers, quality control personnel and laboratory inspectors can use the standard better and improve the quality level of products.

This article introduces various qualitative testing standards for antibacterial textiles, analyses and compares the applicable scope, test specifications, test strains, test concentration, culture conditions and safety evaluation index of the qualitative testing standards for antibacterial textiles at home and abroad, and puts forward reasonable suggestions according to the shortcomings of the standards.
